We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team developing innovative and high-precision products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs and manufacturing-ready components using CAD software
- Produce high-quality engineering drawings in accordance with ISO BS 8888 and GD&T standards
- Perform engineering analysis using FEA and hand calculations to support design decisions
- Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions
- Support mechanical assembly, integration, and testing activities
- Drive designs through concept development, iteration, validation, and production release

Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in mechanical design
- Strong CAD experience for detailed mechanical design and manufacturing documentation
- Experience using FEA and/or hand calculations to inform engineering decisions
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and ANSYS is preferred
- Strong Design for Manufacture (DFM) knowledge, particularly for precision metal components, CNC machining, and material selection
- Proven experience producing manufacturing-ready drawings and tolerancing to ISO BS 8888 and GD&T standards
- Experience with opto-mechanical or high-precision mechanical systems, including alignment-critical assemblies and thermal considerations
