Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Feltham, London
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Annual Guaranteed Bonus
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to develop your career with an innovative engineering business? We're seeking a motivated engineer to join a growing team in Feltham, where you'll work on the design and development of high-quality mechanical products from concept through to manufacture.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CAD skills who enjoys solving engineering challenges and working closely with manufacturing and project teams.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Work closely with production, quality, and project teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
- Support product development from concept through testing, validation, and manufacture.
- Participate in design reviews and implement design improvements where required.
- Liaise with suppliers and assist with technical queries during manufacturing.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and customer specifications.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar design role.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- A degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable
- Experience designing for manufacture and assembly (DFM/DFA).
- Knowledge of sheet metal, machined components, or fabricated assemblies.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
