Key Responsibilities

  • Support design processes from the mechanical side using engineering knowledge, tools like DFMEA, and practices such as DFM/DFA to optimise design considerability through the NPI (New Product Introduction) phase.
  • Facilitate mechanical workstreams within NPI projects, ensuring build readiness, scalability, and seamless transition from design to customer delivery.
  • Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to develop electromechanical test jigs, focusing on improving production throughput and ensuring product quality.
  • Work alongside manufacturing teams to define and document:
    • Mechanical build procedures
    • Assembly instructions
    • Production workflows, aiming for repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Apply a hands-on approach during NPI builds to investigate and resolve:
    • Mechanical failures
    • Assembly issues, utilising the ECN (Engineering Change Notice) framework.
  • Drive manufacturing readiness improvements by identifying and implementing strategies to streamline assembly processes and reduce build time.
  • Partner with quality teams to support:
    • Non-conformance investigations
    • Quality improvements during NPI phases.
  • Contribute to shaping and refining new NPI team standards and processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
