Mechanical/Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical/Senior Design Engineer to join our client's growing Building Services team in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the education, healthcare, industrial, leisure, and data centre sectors.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and specification of mechanical building services systems
  • Produce detailed calculations, reports, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Develop designs using industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design calculation package
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and design team workshops
  • Coordinate designs with electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines
  • Support project delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards
  • Assist with technical reviews, value engineering, and sustainability initiatives
  • Ensure designs comply with current UK regulations, standards, and best practice

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in mechanical building services design consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards
  • Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical calculation package
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
