Mechanical/Senior Design Engineer
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical/Senior Design Engineer to join our client's growing Building Services team in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the education, healthcare, industrial, leisure, and data centre sectors.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specification of mechanical building services systems
- Produce detailed calculations, reports, specifications, and technical drawings
- Develop designs using industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design calculation package
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and design team workshops
- Coordinate designs with electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines
- Support project delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards
- Assist with technical reviews, value engineering, and sustainability initiatives
- Ensure designs comply with current UK regulations, standards, and best practice

Qualifications/Experience

- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience in mechanical building services design consultancy
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards
- Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical calculation package
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
