Mechanical Design Engineer

Building Services | Oxford

Permanent | Full time | Hybrid

About This Opportunity

Our Building Services team has a rapidly expanding profile and continues to succeed securing commissions and repeat instructions UK wide. Projects and clients span public & private sectors across a broad range of industries, from healthcare and education to central government, industrial & logistics, commercial, and more.

A high growth area for our new built asset solutions offering, there are excellent opportunities for progression and development with an agile, collaborative and high potential team with a successful future ahead of them.

As a mechanical design engineer with our Oxford office you will:

  • Produce designs for mechanical building systems
  • Carry out engineering calculations
  • Prepare specifications and drawings
  • Evaluate contractor design proposals
  • Provide quality assurance monitoring and carry out site / installation inspections
  • Complete condition surveys, defect analysis, and life cycle appraisals.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge And Key Skills

  • Actively working towards, or holding CEng status with CIBSE or IMechE membership.
  • Confident using industry standard software, including AutoCAD and H2X or similar software packages
  • Experience working in a similar surveying / design consultancy practice or with building services contractors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus enthusiasm and ambition.
