Mechanical Design Engineer
We're partnering with an exciting aerospace engineering company that's developing advanced mechanical systems for high-performance applications. This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects from concept through to manufacture, alongside a collaborative team of engineers who are passionate about solving complex problems.
You will be;
- Designing precision mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Creating detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
- Working closely with Electronics, RF and Systems Engineers to develop integrated products.
- Designing for manufacture, assembly, and reliability in demanding environments.
- Applying GD&T and engineering standards throughout the design process.
- Supporting engineering changes and product development using PDM/PLM systems.

You'll ideally have experience with:
- SolidWorks (or another 3D CAD package)
- Precision mechanical design
- PCB integration and an understanding of RF shielding, EMI and EMC principles
- CNC machining, aluminium components, and lightweight structures
- Engineering drawings and GD&T
- Designing machined, cast, moulded, or sheet metal components
- Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- PDM/PLM systems and engineering change processes
