We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Oxford.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, developing innovative products from concept through to production.
You will be;
- Design and develop compact, robust mechanical systems for products, prototypes, and test equipment
- Develop innovative mechanical solutions that meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate system prototypes
- Produce detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and design documentation
- Conduct structural, thermal, and materials analysis to optimise system performance and reliability
- Support prototype assembly, testing, validation, and design iteration activities
- Contribute to the transition of technologies from concept through prototyping, testing, and into production

What we are looking for;
- Experience in mechanical design and development
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials selection, and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar
- Experience using engineering analysis and simulation tools such as ANSYS
- Experience developing precision mechanical systems and assemblies
- Experience working on optical or photonics-based products would be an advantage
