Location: Cornwall
We are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team, supporting the successful delivery of projects across Cornwall.
This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for delivering all mechanical requirements across a diverse project portfolio. Working closely with designers, suppliers, and project teams, you will lead the coordination, procurement, and delivery of mechanical installations, with a strong focus on offsite manufacture, modularisation, and digital delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring mechanical works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Duties
- Lead the coordination and delivery of all mechanical engineering activities, ensuring designs are fully integrated using BIM and digital tools.
- Manage the procurement, technical review, and administration of mechanical equipment, subcontractors, and suppliers, driving quality, value, and innovation throughout the supply chain.
- Oversee mechanical installation works, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, technical standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
- Monitor programme, cost, and progress of mechanical works, supporting successful project delivery through effective planning, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Carry out factory inspections, quality audits, and quality assurance activities, maintaining high standards of workmanship and supporting successful project completion.

About You
You will be a technically strong Mechanical Project Engineer with experience delivering mechanical engineering projects within a construction or manufacturing environment.
You will bring:
- Experience managing mechanical engineering activities, including procurement, installation, and supplier coordination.
- Strong technical knowledge with experience using BIM and digital engineering tools.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to manage programmes, costs, and quality effectively.
- Excellent planning, organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- An HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering is desirable, along with professional membership, SMSTS, and a relevant CSCS card.
