Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Stone, Staffordshire.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all mechanical assemblies for rotational moulding and RIM applications.
- Support production with any issues on equipment and pursue a proactive culture.
- Perform engineering tasks from greasing to gearboxes and bearings to modifying machinery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.
- Support testing and validation.
- Assist in resolving engineering issues during prototyping and production.
- Stop over on occasions when critical equipment is required.

Requirements
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to moulded components and industrial products.
- Proficiency in Machine drawings and general workshop equipment.
- Experience in Project, including planning tasks, tracking progress, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Apprentice educated in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with production, quality, and customer-facing teams.
- Experience with plastics, polymers, or moulding processes (rotational moulding or RIM) is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to be hands-on in an on-site manufacturing environment.

Additional Information
- The role involves some basic electrical faultfinding and testing, so experience in basic electrical fault finding is required.
- Willingness to learn and develop electrical skills.
- Training will be given from the lead engineer or external training where necessary.
- Potential to increase salary considerably with overtime if desired.
