Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Whitehall, London

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00–17:00 or 9:00–18:00 – semi-flexible)

Call-Out Rota: 1 in 6 (£100 standby payment)

Overtime: Available

About The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Whitehall, London. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-profile environment with strong investment in training, development, and long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems Diagnose and repair faults across a range of mechanical plant and equipment Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times Respond to emergency call-outs as part of the rota Liaise with clients and internal teams to maintain excellent service delivery Maintain accurate records of all work carried out

Requirements

Qualified Mechanical Engineer (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent) Experience working in a commercial or high-end environment preferred Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team
