Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical Engineer Contract Role – Aberdeen
Join our latest project!
We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our client in Aberdeen on a 5-month contract, operating outside IR35.
About the Project
- The project will initially require on-site presence for training and onboarding
- After onboarding, hybrid/remote flexibility will apply
- This is an ASAP opportunity—interviews will begin as soon as suitable profiles are identified
Requirements & Key Responsibilities
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- A Mechanical Engineering background with experience:
- Interpreting engineering drawings
- Conducting redlining or PDF annotation (engineering drawing markups)
- Working with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
- Exposure to PLM systems or similar engineering document control tools

A solid understanding of:
- Manufacturing fundamentals (e.g., threads, plating processes [pre/post], BOM structures)
- Excel and spreadsheet skills for tracking progress and effort
- Ability to follow structured engineering processes while managing a high volume of drawing updates
