Mechanical Engineer
Location: South Wales
Salary: £50,000 + Bonus + Call Out
Job Type: Full Time | Permanent
About the Role
We're recruiting a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business with a large-scale production facility in South Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team, working on heavy industrial plant and equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Alongside day-to-day engineering activities, you'll lead maintenance projects, support plant improvements and help drive reliability across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage preventative maintenance activities, shutdowns and reactive repairs.
- Lead mechanical projects from planning through to completion.
- Ensure work is carried out safely through effective risk assessments, permits and method statements.
- Support reliability improvements and identify opportunities to increase plant performance.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Mechanical Technicians.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement.
You'll ideally have:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience within a heavy manufacturing, industrial processing or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and reliability engineering.
- Experience leading engineering projects and developing maintenance teams.
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
