Mechanical Engineer
Birmingham (City Centre)
Circa £40,000 + Excellent Benefits
Working Pattern: Hybrid/Flexible
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a growing MEP team with a partnered client in a centrally located Birmingham office. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation across the built environment.
The Birmingham office has been recently refurbished and offers a collaborative, modern workspace. You will join a diverse team working across Building Services, Civil & Structural Engineering, Project Services, Architecture, Safety, Interiors, and Planning.
About the Role
You will support the delivery of mechanical building services design solutions on a wide range of projects across sectors including commercial, education, residential, and healthcare. The role will involve contributing to designs, supporting project delivery, and working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and specification of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, heating, ventilation, cooling, and domestic water services
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
- Coordinating with internal disciplines and external consultants
- Assisting in the development of junior team members where appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and sustainability objectives
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience within a building services consultancy environment (preferred)
- Good technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems and relevant standards
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
