We currently have a vacancy open for a Mechanical Engineer who is looking to develop their career, working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This role will be based at either of our Braintree or Birmingham offices, subject to business requirements the role may be eligible for hybrid working.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of mechanical engineering services for a range of projects. You will be providing technical expertise, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, whilst ensuring compliance within all relevant design standards and regulations.
Key Areas Of Responsibilities Will Include
- Deliver mechanical engineering solutions across projects from concept to completion
- Carry out condition and technical surveys of existing buildings and produce clear reports
- Prepare mechanical calculations, designs, drawings, and specifications
- Produce documentation and drawings for tender stages and assist in tender evaluations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure coordinated design delivery

Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant industry experience in building services / mechanical design
- Working towards or desire to achieve professional accreditation (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE or equivalent)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM/Revit and IES
This role requires you to have a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and will be subject to a DBS Enhanced check.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
