# Mechanical Engineer – Veolia Dewatering and Maintenance Solutions

Salary: Competitive plus company vehicle and Veolia benefits Hours: 40 per week Location: Mobile across South England

## About the Role

You see the world as we do—where challenges offer chances to improve tomorrow for everyone. Veolia’s Dewatering and Maintenance Solutions team is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (or an existing Field Service Engineer ready to grow) to drive sustainability across water treatment sites.

This role is part of a growing portfolio, where you’ll play a vital part in reshaping resource management for a healthier planet.

## What You’ll Be Doing

Work in a dynamic team of mechanical engineers or mechanical fitters, frequently deploying across multiple sites, typically as a team of two:

  • Execution:
    • Carry out complex asset overhauls and replacements for dewatering equipment, pumps, and ancillary systems.
    • Conduct mechanical repairs and modifications to hardware including valves, pipework, and stainless/mild steel installations.
    • Perform inspections, servicing, and emergency repairs on customer-owned dewatering and water treatment assets.
    • Execute pipework installations (using plastic, stainless steel, and mild steel) and associated equipment.
    • Operate on a standby/Overtime basis as needed, with flexibility to deploy away from home.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
