The Role: Mechanical Engineer (Braintree/Birmingham, Hybrid Potential)
We are seeking a ** Mechanical Engineer** to join our team in either our Braintree or Birmingham office (subject to hybrid working arrangements). This is an exciting opportunity for career development, with exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects nationwide.
As our Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical expertise, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical engineering solutions across all project stages (concept to completion)
- Conduct technical surveys of existing buildings, producing clear and actionable reports
- Prepare mechanical calculations, designs, drawings, and specifications
- Develop tender-stage documentation and drawings, assisting in evaluations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure seamless design delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Industry experience in building services/mechanical design
- Desires or already working toward professional accreditation (e.g., CISE, IMechE, or equivalent)
- AutoCAD proficiency with BIM/Revit and IES knowledge
- Full and clean driving licence with your own vehicle access
- Enhanced DBS check will be required
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
