Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.
Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.

Description
The role is responsible for supporting the operational reliability of plant assets by leading root cause analyses, implementing corrective and improvement actions, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, it contributes to maintaining plant availability, reducing failure rates, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations at the plant.
This position reports to: Engineering Manager.
Location: Centenario Ratones Project, Salta, Argentina.

Responsibilities
Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) of recurring failures in the plant and define corrective actions. Support the Rapid Problem Resolution Task Force and Correction and Improvement initiatives. Develop and implement engineering solutions to improve asset reliability and performance. Ensure proper execution and follow-up of Management of Change (MOC) processes. Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams. Monitor equipment performance and identify optimization opportunities. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety, and regulatory requirements. Support contractor management from a technical supervision perspective. Contribute to establishing a counter-roster model for continuous technical coverage. Prepare technical reports and track key performance indicators.
Your Profile
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Solid knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment. Experience in root cause analysis methodologies (RCA, FMEA, etc.). Knowledge of maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, corrective). Understanding of MOC processes and industrial safety standards. Experience in industrial or mining environments (preferred). Experience in plant operations or maintenance engineering roles. Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation. Ability to work under pressure and in dynamic environments. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Results-oriented with a focus on operational impact.
