Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
You will work as a member of the Maintenance and Facilities team, providing Maintenance support to other departments in a safe and compliant manner, ensure PPM is up to date and work orders are actioned in a safe and timely manner. Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Ensure PPM activities are completed on time.
- Reactive Maintenance tasks are actioned as quickly as possible in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain compliance and statutory inspections and support other functions with this task.
- Support the EHS team.
- Ensure the stock of spares.
Skills/Experience
- City and Guilds or similar qualification in Maintenance (Apprenticeship)
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Understanding of H&S procedures
- Team player
- Positive attitude
- Creative and able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Work/Relevant Experience
- Minimum 2 years in similar role
- Experience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of working with a computerised maintenance system
- Experience with Welding and Fabrication
- Computer literate
- Holds a good understanding of general engineering principles
- Available for out of hours (breakdown system on a rota)
