Mechanical Engineer (Remote)

Location: Remote (United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, or Argentina)

Role Overview:

Our client is hiring Engineering Experts to teach AI how to interpret and solve complex technical problems. As a domain expert, you will:

  • Create rigorous technical prompts
  • Evaluate model responses for engineering accuracy
  • Ensure frontier AI adheres to the highest technical reasoning standards

This is a fully remote, flexible-schedule role open to mechanical engineers with expertise to share.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review & validate AI outputs: Assess factuality and relevance of domain-specific text generated by AI models
  • Develop expert content: Craft challenging technical prompts and write electrical engineering expert-level answers
  • Evaluate AI outputs: Rank domain-specific responses generated by AI for accuracy, correctness, and reliability
  • Refine technical reasoning: Review and correct AI-generated chains of thought for technical precision
  • Provide detailed feedback: Offer clear, actionable written feedback on engineering reasoning and methodology
  • Collaborate: Work with a broader expert community to maintain high-quality standards

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written communication: Ability to explain engineering concepts in clear, precise fluent English
  • Strong analytical & technical expertise: Rigorous attention to detail, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving
  • Self-directed work ethic: Comfortable operating fully remote and asynchronously, with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in: Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace, Materials Science, Biomedical, Nuclear, or Engineering Physics
  • Practical experience as:
    • A practicing engineer
    • An independent researcher
    • In comparable highly technical/analytical roles

Compensation

  • Rate: Up to $150 USD/hr
  • Payout preferred via PayPal or AirTM (weekly basis)
