Mechanical Engineer
Reports into Engineering Manager
- Rotating Days Shift
Role Summary
To work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team to:
- Maintain assets within the Centre
- Optimise utilisation of equipment
- Deliver maximum volume with the right quality
Key duties include:
- Work closely with Shift/Production Managers and technicians
- Provide quick response to line breakdowns
- Support asset improvement
- Provide engineering and operational support to the Centre

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance duties in support of:
- Planned work
- Breakdowns
- Commissioning
- Work safely on equipment across Kitt Green (following training)
- Use SAP system to:
- Report completed work
- Assist in planning (contributing to overall effectiveness)
- Actively participate in training
- Train others (including apprentices)
- Maintain highest engineering standards to support:
- RU activities
- Product quality
- Proactive engagement to:
- Challenge status quo
- Initiate improvements

Expected Experience And Required Skills
- Qualified to ONC level or equivalent
- Experience of a time-served apprenticeship
- Flexible and enthusiastic approach
- Self-motivated and driven
- Detailed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with SAP MMS
