Multi-Skilled Mechanical Bias Technician – CBRE Global Workplace Solutions

Location: Coventry

About the Role

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Bias Technician to join our team in Coventry.

Role Summary

  • Ensure domestic water systems are maintained to comply with L8 standard requirements.
  • Conduct planned and routine maintenance on Heating & Air-conditioning (HVAC) plant, ensuring they meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain operational order at all times.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on additional site plant as required.
  • Ensure suitable spares are readily available for maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive records using "Frontline" task sheets.
  • Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
  • Develop strong working relationships with CBRE Managed Services staff and client staff.
  • Promote a safe & healthy working environment and ensure compliance with company, client, and industry policies.
  • Uphold a professional image of CBRE Managed Services, delivering excellent customer service consistently.
  • Commit to personal development and lifelong learning to maintain professional standards.

The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Plumber with expertise across multiple disciplines, adequate to carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on-site. This includes:

  • Conducting equipment inspections.
  • Diagnosing and fixing problems in pumps, motors, valves, and cooling towers.
  • Performing repairs across various systems.
  • Ensuring smooth site operations.

Hours & Availability

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Overtime and weekend work required.
  • On-call availability applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must possess:

  • Hands-on experience with pumps, motors, and valves.
  • Experience operating cooling towers.
  • Strong domestic & commercial plumbing knowledge.
  • A comprehensive understanding and adherence to health and safety obligations in maintenance activities.
  • Time-served plumber qualification to NVQ Level 2 or 3.
  • Basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting.
