Mechanical Project Engineer | Bristol | £60,000–£70,000 + Package

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join a well-established MEP contractor delivering major education and commercial new build projects across Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in building services to take ownership of mechanical packages valued between £2 million and £12 million, overseeing projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

The Role

  • Manage the delivery of mechanical building services packages across multiple projects
  • Oversee HVAC, plumbing and public health installations on site
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client teams
  • Support procurement, cost management and project reporting
  • Prepare and review RAMS and ensure health & safety compliance
  • Attend progress meetings, CVR meetings and client meetings
  • Resolve technical and installation issues throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
  • Complete commissioning, handover and project documentation

Requirements

  • Level 4 qualification or above in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline
  • SMSTS (Essential)
  • Proven experience delivering mechanical building services packages for an M&E contractor or building services subcontractor
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and public health systems
  • Experience managing projects from procurement through to commissioning and handover
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting project cost control
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Right to work in the UK
