Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering AI Trainer

About The Role

We partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more technically rigorous AI models — and we need mechanical engineers to help make it happen. This is a unique opportunity to apply your deep engineering knowledge in a cutting-edge AI context, working remotely on your own schedule.

You'll put advanced AI models through their paces across fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, structural mechanics, and more — designing problems that expose the limits of AI reasoning and crafting the gold-standard solutions that help these models improve.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems
    • Create advanced mechanical engineering problems spanning FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, material science, and mechatronics to stress-test AI model performance
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions
    • Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
  • Audit Technical Reasoning
    • Review AI-generated CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, etc.)
  • Refine AI Thinking
    • Identify flaws in AI reasoning — such as incorrect force distributions, energy conservation violations, or faulty material assumptions — and provide structured feedback to improve model outputs

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
