Role Description
The Mechanical Engineering Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom. This role involves designing, analyzing, and reviewing mechanical building services and systems for commercial and business-critical facilities. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Developing and checking CAD models and drawings
- Performing technical calculations
- Supporting project planning
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
The specialist will work closely with project managers and clients to understand requirements, provide technical input, and ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards. Responsibilities also include supporting installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities, troubleshooting system issues, and contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in mechanical designs.
Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical Engineering expertise, including knowledge of building services, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for creating, modifying, and reviewing engineering drawings and models.
- Analytical Skills to perform calculations, evaluate data, and solve complex engineering problems.
- Project Management abilities to plan tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, reporting findings, and engaging with clients.

Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; professional registration (e.g., chartered engineer status) is an advantage. Familiarity with UK building regulations, industry standards, and health and safety practices; experience in commercial or mission-critical facilities is beneficial. Ability to work on-site, manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing project needs; proficiency with standard engineering and office software tools.
