Mechanical Estimator
Trade Recruit is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Southampton.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator (Heating, Boiler & Electrical Services sector) to join a successful and expanding team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent commercial awareness, and the ability to produce accurate mechanical estimates for a variety of projects.
This role is office-based, offering long-term stability, strong company culture and excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare mechanical cost estimates and tenders for new projects
- Review drawings, specifications and client documents
- Liaise with engineers, suppliers and contractors to obtain accurate pricing
- Produce detailed proposals and bid submissions
- Analyse risks, project constraints and technical requirements
- Support the wider commercial and estimating team

Requirements
Must-Have:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Mechanical Estimator
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and negotiation skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with estimating software
- Background within construction, M&E or building services

Salary & Benefits
- £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
- PAYE employment
- 28 days annual leave

Working Pattern
- Full-time, office-based
