Partner with the best

The Mechanical Fitter will develop manufacturing technology and realize new products and systems. Set up, monitor, and operate various pieces of equipment associated with the manufacturing facility requirements to undertake the assembly and test sub-sea equipment and, where authorized, repair Baker Hughes Subsea Products together with ancillary equipment according to company and client procedures.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support for assembly and testing of subsea equipment to ensure quality and Health Safety Environmental compliance.
  • Assembling subsea equipment and components from specifications and drawings for customer requirements.
  • Setting up finished Assemblies / Products and testing them in accordance with routing and Engineering Procedure.
  • Engaging with Quality Management Systems to ensure recording of defects and errors in-line with company procedures.
  • Displaying Baker Hughes Stop Work Authority where necessary to ensure the safety of all employees.
  • Engaging with safety initiatives on site, especially HRO councils e.g. pressure safety / lifting.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a time served Mechanical Apprentice with a supporting engineering qualification.
  • Have experience within a mechanical assembly role, ideally with subsea products.
  • Be able to read, understand, and interpret engineering documentation.
  • Have good knowledge of HSE requirements and be able to follow safety policies and procedures.
