To interpret engineering drawings to be able to assemble components parts of special purpose machinery from scratch, maintaining a high level of diligence ensuring machine safety, quality and customer specifications are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit machinery to assembly drawings
- Installation of machinery on customer premises
- Read and interpret engineer assembly drawings to assemble machine parts and machines
- Identification of components from locations on site from a GA drawing
- Operation of hand tools and equipment required to assemble machine parts/machines
- Operation of lifting equipment required to assemble machine parts/machines
- Adheres to customer specific site requirements
- Competent in the installation of machinery in customer premises
- Conduct risk assessments on machinery
- Comply with the Management System requirements for Health and Safety ensuring others work to company and policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with the management systems requirement for the Environment and Quality by working to company policies and procedures
- Liaise and work in partnership with the Client and Client technical team during the course of the project
- Understand and ensure compliance with customer processes whilst operating on site
- Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as required
- Support business development activity
- Ensure innovative processes are implemented

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum HNC qualified in relevant mechanical engineering discipline
- ISOH SPA Passport (Desirable)
- FLT Training (Desirable)
Experience:
- Essential
- Experience of working within a multi-skilled environment (i.e. knowledge of electrical and pneumatic components)
- Experience of working on projects including working to tight timescales throughout the project life cycle
Key Skills & Abilities
- Competent (and confident) in all technical aspects of mechanical engineering (ideally gained within a similar environment)
- Working knowledge of Machine Safety
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to provide quality information within deadlines
- Empathy with other functions and projects
- Proactive interaction with other functions
- Good communication skills, confident and capable in client facing role
- Team-player
- Willingness to travel
