What you’ll be doing;
- Carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant and equipment (including overhead cranes, rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics).
- Diagnose, report and rectify plant defects quickly and professionally to minimise downtime.
- Propose, develop and support modifications and improvements to plant/apparatus where appropriate.
- Liaise with operations and other departments to plan and coordinate maintenance activity safely and effectively.
- Supervise company and contractor staff as required, ensuring work is completed to the right standard.
- Maintain clean, tidy and safe work areas at all times.
- Follow and support company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures, including completing and supporting audits.
- Undertake other duties within the scope and spirit of the role as directed by management.

What we're looking for;
- Time-served Maintenance Technician with a recognised mechanical-biased apprenticeship and strong knowledge of maintenance techniques.
- Experience in a continuous process industry (electrical power generation experience required for success in the role).
- Competent communicator, able to work with colleagues at all levels both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to be contacted and attend site outside normal working hours when required.
- Ideally experienced with CMMS systems (HxGN desirable).
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexible approach and creative problem-solving mindset.
- Skilled in ATEX pump refurbishment and rotating equipment maintenance.
- Pipe fitting experience.
- COMAH experience is desirable.
- Manual handling knowledge required.
