Join a growing engineering business building bespoke friction welding machinery supplied to customers across the UK and Europe. This is an opportunity to be involved in the full build and installation process of highly specialised machines, working on complex mechanical assemblies and seeing projects through from the workshop floor to final installation onsite.
The role offers a varied mix of workshop-based machine build and occasional international travel, with opportunities every couple of months to visit customer sites across Europe to help install, upgrade and commission machinery. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work but also likes the idea of getting out to client sites and being involved in the final stages of major engineering projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
