Locations: Multiple Locations Across England & Scotland
About the Opportunity
We're currently recruiting a number of Mechanical Plant Fitters for well-established organisations operating within the heavy industrial sector. With opportunities available across multiple sites, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced maintenance professionals looking for long-term career stability and a variety of engineering challenges.

The Role
Working as part of an established engineering team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy industrial plant and equipment, ensuring production remains safe, efficient, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Responding to mechanical breakdowns and fault-finding
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Maintaining conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, motors, and gearboxes
- Welding and fabrication where required
- Supporting plant shutdowns and improvement projects
- Completing maintenance records using maintenance management systems
- Working to high Health & Safety standards

About You
We’re interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments, including:
- Quarrying & Aggregates
- Asphalt
- Cement
- Concrete
- Recycling
- Waste Processing
- Heavy Manufacturing
- Industrial Processing
- Mining
- Materials Handling
- Heavy Plant
- Field Service Engineering
You’ll ideally have:
- A recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems
- Welding and fabrication experience (advantageous)
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
- A full UK driving licence
