Mechanical Fitter

Kinetic Skills & Trades are currently recruiting for qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter/Engineers for positions based in North Manchester. The roles are on a contract basis for a minimum of 6-12 months+ initially, but likely to go on much longer. The roles are commutable from all areas of North Manchester and also Salford, Oldham, Trafford etc. Key functions of this position include, but are not restricted to, mechanical build, strip and assembly of capital machinery. Hourly rates will be from £16.78/hr PAYE & £25.17 for hours over 39 hours. *If you are currently working through an umbrella company, you would be able to continue using an umbrella paying a basic rate of £21.87/hr. **Overtime available at time and one half working 39 hours per week. WEEKLY OVERTIME AVAILABLE Core hours: 07:30 - 16:00, 15:00 on Friday. Half an hour for lunch.

Qualification, Knowledge, Skill, Aptitude, Experience Required include:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Time served - recognised apprenticeship.
  • Read/understand mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Continually self-appraise on current and developing H&S Regulations.

DESIRABLE:

  • ONC level qualified engineer in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic & other mechanical systems.
  • Working to tight tolerances.
  • Installation of bearings and various seals.
