We're looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Team at Barony. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional who enjoys problem-solving, preventative maintenance, and working as part of a highly skilled team supporting a continuous manufacturing operation.

What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and repair work across site.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults to minimise downtime and optimise production performance.
- Working independently on routine engineering tasks while following established maintenance procedures.
- Supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Completing maintenance records, SAP reports, and shift handover documentation accurately.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and site standards.
- Reporting hazards, incidents, equipment condition issues, and production concerns promptly.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across Maintenance and Production teams.
- Supporting the training and development of apprentices where required.
- Participating in training programmes to develop knowledge across all areas of the Maintenance Department.

Essential
What we're looking for
- SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Good understanding of mechanical maintenance principles and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.
Desirable
- Forklift Truck Licence preferred (training can be provided).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
