Role: Mechanical Installation Manager – Solar PV

Location: North of England

Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits

Type: Full-time | Permanent

About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced Mechanical Installation Manager or Senior Solar Installation Engineer ready to lead large-scale commercial Solar PV projects?

We're working with a well-established renewable energy contractor delivering decarbonisation projects across the UK. Their portfolio includes commercial and industrial Solar PV installations, alongside wider clean energy solutions, and they're looking for a Mechanical Installation Manager to lead their growing installation team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong project pipeline where you'll have genuine influence over installation standards, team development and operational performance.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Mechanical, you'll oversee the mechanical delivery of commercial Solar PV installations from mobilisation through to completion. You'll manage a team of Mechanical Installation Engineers and Lead Engineers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with Design, Planning and Project Management teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining programme, resolving technical challenges and driving continuous improvement across the installation function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
