Salary: £45,000 per annum + Overtime Available
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our established maintenance team based in Potters Bar. The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical systems and plant equipment. You'll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with maintenance schedules.
- Respond to reactive maintenance and mechanical breakdowns.
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
- Service, maintain and repair pumps, motors, pipework, valves, bearings, conveyors and other mechanical plant.
- Complete maintenance records and reports accurately.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and reliability.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Fitter.
- A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience carrying out maintenance within commercial, industrial or manufacturing environments.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
