Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. This role involves hands-on mechanical maintenance, fabrication work, and ensuring optimal building performance across multiple FM sites. You will be part of a 10-person team with 7 engineers, working on both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day mechanical maintenance and repairs across multiple facility management sites
- Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to industry standards
- Respond to reactive maintenance calls efficiently and effectively
- Undertake mechanical and fabric-related tasks including minor fabrication work
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work flexibly across shift patterns to meet operational requirements

Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications:
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification
- Relevant mechanical trade certification
Experience:
- Proven experience in facilities management environments
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems maintenance
- Background in fabrication work
- Track record of PPM and reactive maintenance delivery

Desirable Requirements
- Asbestos Awareness (Level 1) certification
- PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) certification
- IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification
