My client is a leading Anaerobic Digestion business, with multiple sites across the region.

As a privately owned business, they have grown quickly over the last 10 years and continue to be a major innovator of CHP, Biomethane and Carbon Capture processes, supplying energy to customers across the UK.
Role Overview
As a Mechanical Fitter working on a shift rotation, your role will be to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns across the manufacturing facility. Working closely with other departments on a variety of projects and process improvements.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site.
- Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs quickly and effectively.
- Servicing, repairing, installing, testing, and inspecting plant equipment.
- Working safely at height on process plant infrastructure, access platforms, tanks, and associated equipment.
- Performing maintenance activities across outdoor operational areas in all weather conditions.
- Operating and maintaining equipment including telehandlers, forklifts, conveyors, pumps, mixers, augers, and associated machinery.
- Assisting with installations, upgrades, and plant improvement projects.
- Completing maintenance records using tablet-based systems.
- Supporting the wider engineering team with breakdown response and operational improvements.
- Following Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards at all times.

Requirements
Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Plant Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, or similar role, and have strong mechanical maintenance experience within industrial, process, agricultural, manufacturing, waste, recycling, quarrying, utilities, or related environments.
Experience working on Gearboxes, Motors and engines, Conveyors and augers, Hydraulics and pneumatics, Pumps and valves, combined with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills is essential. You must be comfortable working at height and outdoors for the majority of your working day.

In terms of qualifications, you will need to be NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline, apprentice trained or possess equivalent vocational experience. Welding skills are preferred, but not essential.
As an engineer, you will be proactive, reliable, and have a hands-on approach and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours
4 on/4 off – 12 hour Days
Salary and Benefits
Salary and package are dependent on experience, but will be highly competitive, depending on experience. Benefits include 20 days plus bank holidays, PPE, Pension Scheme and relevant training.
