- Salary: Circa £58,000 (including shift allowances)

Position Summary
An opportunity for an experienced, mechanically skilled engineer to join the maintenance team at our Bromborough site, reporting to the System Engineer. The main purpose of this role is to provide a safe, high-quality, and cost-effective maintenance service to site assets, covering preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance. This includes enhancing people’s and product safety, product quality, environmental protection, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Conducting root cause analysis of technical problems
- Providing planned and reactive maintenance across plant equipment
- Maintaining packaging and process machinery
- Generating, completing, and returning work orders
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
What Makes You Successful?
We are looking for a mechanically biased engineer, ideally with experience in FMCG (though other industries will be considered). You must meet the following criteria:
Essential Requirements
- Experience from a time-served engineering apprenticeship or **minimum ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering (with demonstrated work experience)
- A mechanical focus is essential—knowledge of other engineering disciplines is beneficial but not preferred
- Strong working knowledge of utilities (e.g., gas, water, steam)
- Familiarity with health & safety (H&S), environmental, and legislative requirements
- Ability to analyze complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and improve cross-site efficiency in partnership with Operations
- Emphasis on teamwork and collaboration between Engineering and Production
