Mobile Mechanical Engineer
Field: Mobility-Based (Midlands & North of the UK)

About the Role
As a Mobile Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be the face of Bellrock, carrying out plumbing and mechanical maintenance across our north portfolio, including:
- Preventive maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive & remedial works
- Minor installations
You’ll deliver high-standard work while upholding our responsible Health & Safety culture. The role requires travel to sites across the Midlands & North of the UK, working energised hours.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Compliance
- Carry out works to the highest technical standard.
- -site maintenance, installations, and repairs across mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Ensure full PPE compliance and equipment名義.
- Operate workforce management (CAFM) systems via PDA tablet.
- Submit electronic worksheets, timesheets, task reports, and quotes on time.
- Maintain client record books (scanning off daily) and photographic proof (before/after).
- Report defects in company plant/equipment promptly.
Health & Safety (Core Priority)
- Adhere to Bellrock’s Safe System of Work.
- Site-specific risk assessments, Method Statements, and POWRA (Personnel Outside Works Area) compliance.
- Workshop and report H&S concerns/non-conformance.
- Assist in safety audits and training as needed.

Customer Relations
- Represent Bellrock professionally with external customers and subcontractors.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams (Tech Ops, PPM Team, Supervisors).
- Address client issues with solution-driven communication.
- Maintain estimate workspaces at all times.
Operational Duties
- Participate in 1-10 out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Complete additional duties aligned with your skillset to meet project goals.
- Travel between sites, adhering to working hours (8.30am–5pm, 37.5 hrs/week, Mon–Fri).
Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Experienced mechanical engineer with plumbing installation theory.
- CAFM system (e.g., Concerto) / workplace management software fluency.
- Practical knowledge of SFG20 or industry maintenance standards.
- Ability to configure reports over data-led safety methodologies (AI fluency a plus).
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Health & Safety awareness (IOSH desirable).
Qualifications (Desirable)*
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing Installations (or equivalent).
- IOSH Health & Safety qualification.
- G3 Unvented Water Systems Certificate.

- Highly organised with strong time management.
- Strong communicator, able to interact with internal teams and external clients.
- Problem-solving mindset for action-ready workarounds.
- Ability to work independently and team-based.
- Technically-minded with adaptability to evolving systems.

Working Arrangements
- Field-based, travelling across Midlands/North UK (no remote role).
- Standard hours: 37.5 hrs/week, Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5pm.
- Flexibility prioritised for business-and role-critical tasks (e.g., call outs).
