- Location: Peacehaven (with travel across multiple sites required)
- Current full UK driving licence is essential
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Hours: 38 hours per week
- Salary: £38,247.41 – £45,896.13 per annum (depending on skills & experience)

About the Role
Join the Wastewater Team at Southern Water, maintaining and repairing wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations, while upholding environmental, quality, and safety standards. Support continuous improvement in a vital industry role.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant & equipment
- Install new plant and equipment as required
- Respond to alarms, diagnose faults, and escalate or fix issues
- Carry out inspections and testing on mechanical equipment following procedures
- Provide technical expertise to internal and external contractors
- Update company systems and databases accurately
- Participants in standby cover when required

Standby requirement: 1-in-7 day rota (mandatory)
Essential Requirements
Must possess:
- A Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering (with certificates)
- A full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Desirable (but not mandatory):
- Experience in the water industry
- Specialist knowledge of pumping station operations and wastewater treatment processes
- Familiarity with health and safety legislation
