Mechanical Project Director
London
£95,000 - £110,000 + Executive Package
We're working with a well-established Building Services Contractor that continues to secure some of London's most prestigious construction projects across the commercial, healthcare, life sciences, data centre, residential and mixed-use sectors.
As their portfolio continues to expand, they're looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Director who can provide strategic leadership across major M&E developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the highest technical standards.
The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of major mechanical projects valued from £30m+, leading Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams to ensure successful delivery across every stage of the project lifecycle. Working closely with senior management, commercial teams and clients, you'll play a key role in maintaining programme, quality and profitability while developing long-term client relationships that support future business growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of large-scale mechanical building services projects across London.
- Provide direction and support to Project Managers and wider delivery teams.
- Develop project strategies, programmes and delivery plans.
- Oversee procurement, resource planning and project performance.
- Ensure projects achieve programme milestones, budget targets and quality expectations.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support bid and pre-construction teams during tender stages where required.
- Drive health, safety and compliance across all live projects.
You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience managing large mechanical building services projects.
- Previous experience as a Project Director, Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager.
- Strong commercial understanding with the ability to influence project performance.
- Excellent client-facing and leadership skills.
- Experience managing multiple project teams simultaneously.
- A collaborative management style with a passion for developing people.
- Relevant Mechanical Engineering or Building Services qualifications.
- SMSTS and CSCS accreditation.
