Mechanical Project Engineer
Project Mechanical Engineer – Maidenhead & London
At Sweco, we develop innovative, ESG-focused solutions for sustainable cities and communities. Our integrated building services engineering teams collaborate globally—designed to fuse creativity with commercial pragmatism.
We’re seeking talented Project Mechanical Engineers to join our Maidenhead and London teams under a flexible working model (minimum 3 office days/week, flexible start/finish times).
About the Role
As a Project Mechanical Engineer, you’ll work across diverse schemes—including healthcare, education, retail, commercial, and energy projects—supporting design teams from early stages to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend design and on-site meetings
- Manage workloads efficiently
- Perform job manager functions
- Produce precise documentation (specifications, calculations, condition reports, etc.)

- Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field
- Professional qualification (CIBSE or MIET) or eligibility to join
- Demonstrable experience in project mechanical engineering roles
- Proficiency in:
- Regulatory tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Clash Detection)
- Strong problem-solving skills to partner with architects and contractors
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and UK construction market knowledge
