Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre Projects

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia (Minimum 12-Month Assignment)

Important: Due to project requirements, this opportunity is open to UK nationals who are willing to relocate to Jakarta, Indonesia for a minimum period of 12 months. Full relocation support provided.

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a specialist engineering contractor delivering complex data centre projects across international locations.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical facilities, managing the installation of mechanical building services from pre-construction through to commissioning and client handover.

Working alongside multidisciplinary project teams, you will ensure mechanical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, commercial, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of mechanical building services packages across large-scale data centre projects.
  • Manage all aspects of project execution, from planning and procurement through installation, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, ICT, and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress against programme milestones, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, labour resources, and procurement activities to support commercial objectives.
  • Attend client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings, providing regular updates on project progress and key deliverables.
  • Ensure all mechanical installations comply with relevant industry standards, health and safety legislation, and quality procedures.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and integrated systems handover to ensure operational readiness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
