We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for overseeing all Civil, Structural, and Architectural works on site, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the mechanical scope of works, ensuring delivery in line with project specifications, schedule, and budget.
- Analyse, track, and manage critical milestone activities to prevent schedule delays.
- Review construction proposals, including scope and cost assessments.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, package managers, supervisors, and foremen.
- Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, to ensure clear communication and alignment on goals.
- Liaise with design teams and subcontractors to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Take a leading role in driving productivity through effective weekly and daily work plans.
- Plan and coordinate day-to-day site operations in conjunction with package managers.
- Oversee and manage subcontractor performance, tracking progress against schedule and manpower requirements.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors operating in shared work areas to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient progress.

Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing large-scale Mechanical projects such as commercial offices, retail, hotels, schools, or data centres.
- Data centre project experience is highly desirable.
- Trade or Engineering qualification preferred, with recent experience in managing major electrical contracts.
- Proven experience in Mechanical Project Management, with the ability to effectively control scope, schedule, and budget.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing large installation projects, ideally within data centre delivery or other large-scale mechanical environments.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical design and build systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and associated services.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to drive progress and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
