Responsibilities
As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a variety of live process pipework and plant installation projects across food and beverage facilities in the Southwest England, spanning areas from Bristol down to Cornwall.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Project management through the complete life cycle—from tender through to completion.
- Managing projects valued between £10k and £5m.
- Leading labour and material coordination.
- Programming and scheduling works.
- Preparing and negotiating tenders.
- Collaborating with senior management to secure ongoing work.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance with food industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Based (ideally) in the Southwest—securing a position where commute to TA7 8AA is viable.
- Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, ideally with a specialisation in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge and clear understanding of:
- Welding techniques related to mechanical projects.
- Process pipework installation.
- Stainless steel fabrication.
- Coordination of plant and equipment.
- Ability to manage and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the expected quality.
