Mechanical Service Technician

Mechanical Service Technician

Role: Renewable Energy & Anaerobic Digestion

Location: UK-Wide Travel | Remote-Based

AD Energy Recruitment is partnering with a growing and innovative renewable energy business to recruit a Mechanical Service Technician to support anaerobic digestion and resource recovery facilities across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded engineer or technician who enjoys hands-on work, fault finding, and travelling to different sites to support critical renewable energy infrastructure.

Whether you already have experience within biogas and anaerobic digestion or come from another industrial maintenance environment, this role offers the opportunity to develop specialist expertise within one of the UK's fastest-growing renewable energy sectors.

The Role

As a Mechanical Service Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out maintenance, inspections, fault finding, repairs, and commissioning support across a range of renewable energy facilities.

  • Working both independently and alongside site teams, you'll help ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
  • You'll support customers with technical issues and maintenance requirements.

No two days are the same. One day you could be:

  • Troubleshooting pumps and mixers on a live AD facility.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance, supporting commissioning activities.
  • Helping optimise plant performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
