Mechanical Site Manager – RSK Group (Ceetech Ltd)
Location: South East UK (Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire) Type: Full-time, permanent
About the Role
Ceetech Ltd, part of the RSK Group, are seeking a Mechanical Site Manager to supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works across residential, commercial, public sector, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, to technical specifications, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
Responsibilities
Site Supervision
- Oversee day-to-day mechanical installation activities, including:
- HVAC systems
- Pipework (LTHW, CHW, domestic water)
- Public health systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Thermal insulation
- Supervise subcontractors and direct labour forces
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Coordinate site activities with other trades and disciplines
- Attend daily briefings with the main contractor and subsidiary teams
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce site H&S requirements in line with CDM Regulations
- Conduct daily briefings/toolbox talks
- Compile and maintain Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) via an online platform
- Monitor PPE compliance and safe systems of work
- Report, investigate, and manage incidents, near misses, and unsafe behaviours

Quality Assurance
- Inspect mechanical installations for compliance with design and industry standards (e.g., CIBSE, BESA)
- Maintain quality records and inspection checklists via Procore, Fieldview, or Dalux
- Identify and rectify defects/snags through the Procore platform
- Ensure installations meet commissioning and handover requirements
Programme & Progress Management
- Monitor project progress against the programme schedule
- Report delays, risks, and constraints to the Project Manager
- Assist with short-term planning and lookahead schedules
- Ensure availability of labour and materials to meet deadlines
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with:
- Project Manager
- Design team
- Main contractor / client
- Commissioning engineers
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates
- Manage technical queries and assist with Requests for Information (RFIs)
Materials & Plant Management
- Carry out material take-offs and manage quotes for procurement
- Verify deliveries to ensure materials meet specifications
- Coordinate storage, handling, and protection of goods
- Manage plant and access requirements
Documentation & Handover
- Maintain site records:
- Daily reports
- Inspection records
- Redline drawings
- Assist with:
- Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
- As-built drawings
- Commissioning documentation

Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven expertise in mechanical building services supervision
- Strong knowledge of:
- HVAC (Air Handling Units – AHU’s, Fan Coil Units – FCU’s, ductwork)
- Pipework systems (LTHW, CHW, domestic water)
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings
- Familiarity with HSE regulations and safe working practices
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset for site coordination and technical issues
- Ability to mark out builder’s work holes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desirable
- SSSTS (Supervising Safely) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification
- CSCS Supervisor or Skilled Worker card
- First Aid at Work certification (training provided)
- Experience in commercial/public sector projects (e.g., depots, healthcare, education)
