Location: Surrey, UK Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension) Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity:

I am currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a major Data Centre construction project in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile mission-critical facility, overseeing mechanical installation activities through key phases of construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works on site.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Conduct daily inspections and progress reviews.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Support quality inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and site procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with project management, commissioning teams, and subcontractors.
  • Identify and resolve technical and installation issues.
  • Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience within Data Centres, Power Plants, Power Generation, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or Mission-Critical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including:
    • HVAC
    • Chilled Water Systems
    • Cooling Infrastructure
    • LTHW/CHW Systems
    • Pipework
    • Mechanical Plant Equipment
  • Strong understanding of commissioning and QA/QC processes.
  • Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.
