Location: Surrey, UK Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension) Start Date: Immediate
The Opportunity:
I am currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a major Data Centre construction project in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile mission-critical facility, overseeing mechanical installation activities through key phases of construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works on site.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Conduct daily inspections and progress reviews.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Support quality inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and site procedures.
- Coordinate closely with project management, commissioning teams, and subcontractors.
- Identify and resolve technical and installation issues.
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large-scale construction projects.
- Experience within Data Centres, Power Plants, Power Generation, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or Mission-Critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including:
- HVAC
- Chilled Water Systems
- Cooling Infrastructure
- LTHW/CHW Systems
- Pipework
- Mechanical Plant Equipment
- Strong understanding of commissioning and QA/QC processes.
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.
