Location: Peckham, London

Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Overtime: Available

The Role

As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will provide day-to-day supervision of engineers, coordinate maintenance activities, and support the smooth operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of mechanical engineers and plumbers
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
  • Coordinate subcontractors and specialist contractors when required
  • Monitor the quality of work and ensure service level agreements are achieved
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, and allocating workloads
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Produce maintenance reports and complete relevant documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Mechanical Supervisor or Senior Mechanical Engineer position
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and maintenance
  • Experience supervising engineers within a commercial or facilities management environment
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
