Job Description
We are supporting the offload of compressor system design and integration activities to a managed service environment and are looking for a highly capable Mechanical Systems Integration Engineer to join a complex, high-performance programme.
This role sits at the heart of gas turbine / turbomachinery development, working across integration, validation, and in-service support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver compressor system integration activities across multiple parallel workstreams Worked with gas turbines doing Stress or working with mechanical systems Support product system design integration, working closely with cross-functional teams Conduct and lead OSOR investigations and root cause analysis (RCI) Provide complex technical validation and verification support Support SAR (Safety Assessment Report) activities, including fleet health and risk tracking Manage sampling closure and DoRA updates Produce clear reporting and updates for Technical Leads Contribute to additional subsystem and integration activities as required

Qualifications
Required Skills:
Experience with Teamcenter Working knowledge of Siemens NX Familiarity with LCE tools, such as: OSORs FRACAS Ability to conduct root cause investigations (e.g. Fishbone, EBRCA) Working with Gas turbines whether that be in thermofluids or in a more mechanical role Proven experience in systems integration / systems engineering within aerospace or turbomachinery Strong understanding of compressor systems / cold-end turbomachinery, including: Casings & structures Stress, vibration, aero & aeromechanics Tip clearance, engine loads & interactions Experience working across the product lifecycle, including design, integration, and validation Strong experience in validation & verification (V&V) and ability to challenge requirements Familiarity with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Systems Engineering capability including: DFMEA Requirements management processes Concept development & selection Knowledge of safety processes: FMECA SARs RedTop (or similar frameworks) Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience. Desirable Skills:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (after initial onboarding) Comfortable managing multiple parallel tasks and shifting priorities Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Basic understanding of engine certification processes and compliance is desirable
