Mechanical Technician
CHP Service Engineer – Mobile (Veolia)
Salary: Competitive salary plus company vehicle and Veolia benefits Hours: 40 hours per week (mobile across Fife) Location: On-site visits (customer locations in Fife)

What You’ll Be Doing
As a CHP (Combined Heat & Power) Service Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and supporting our clients’ energy infrastructure while contributing to broader sustainability goals:

Compliance & Safety:
- Full adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Alignment with Veolia’s Code of Conduct and CHP safety rules

Customer Slow Visits:
- Use of company vehicles for business operations
- Servicing and breakdown response at sites (full driving licence required)

Technical Expertise & Support:
- Familiarity with OEM servicing schedules and engine manufacturer guidelines
- Skilled use of electrical drawings and specialist software

Fault Finding & Diagnostics:
- Advanced support for engineers in electrical fault diagnosis
- Troubleshooting and rectification of engine reliability/performance issues
- Chasing-to-service units within agreed deadlines

Client & Regional Support:
- Assisting Customer Account Managers and Team Leaders in CHP maintenance
- Providing advanced electrical training to service engineers as required
- Supporting operational regions, as directed, in fault scrutiny and diagnostics

- Primary Tasks:

- Training and mentoring engineers
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Proven CHP expertise and a relevant technical qualification
- Strong electrical and technical proficiency
- Excellent engine diagnostics and fault-finding experience
- A valid driving licence (essential to visit customer locations in a company vehicle)
- A commitment to safety and compliance
- The ability to work autonomously and mobilise across Fife
